Este martes 27 de enero de 2026, los Premios de Cine de la Academia Británica anunciaron sus nominaciones poniendo en alto a “Una batalla tras otra”, (“One Battle After Another”) con 14 nominaciones, seguida por “Pecadores”) (“Sinners”) con 13.
Los llamados Premios BAFTA de Cine 2026 en su 79° edición colocaron a “Hamnet” y “Marty Supreme” con 11 postulaciones cada una.
Sorpresa fue que “Frankenstein” de Guillermo del Toro, pese a que consiguió ocho nominaciones, estuvo ausente en las categorías a Mejor Película y Mejor Director.
Los premios BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) son los galardones más prestigiosos de la industria audiovisual en el Reino Unido, reconocidos internacionalmente como el equivalente británico a los Óscar y celebran la excelencia en cine, televisión y videojuegos, entregando una máscara de bronce a lo mejor del talento artístico y técnico.
La ceremonia de BAFTA 2026 se realizará el 22 de febrero en el Royal Festival Hall de Londres, con transmisión por BBC One y BBC iPlayer.
